Children and women Development Center in Cambodia (CWDCC) is a Non-Profit and local Non Governmental Organization, bases in Kampot Province, and was registered with the Ministry of Interior in 2005. CWDCC main approach to development is to empower communities to work collectively to improve the overall wellbeing of community people, focusing particularly on women and children.

Our Programs

Natural Resource Management (NRM)

Resources dependent communities; especially, women and children in CWDCC target areas are empowered to fully access to natural resources, protect and advocate for improving social, economic and environmental responsibility.

Livelihood improvement in context of climate change

Resources dependent communities; especially, women and children in CWDCC target areas have capacity to establish collective business-based climate adaptation, in which has no harm on environment.

Disaster Management

CWDCC target communities, especially women, children and youth have increased preparedness capacity to reduce their vulnerability from natural and manmade disaster.

Child Well Being

Children especially girl in CWDCC target areas obtain good physical and mental health to fulfil their dreams.

Gender

CWDCC understands gender as a mechanism to change the role, attitude and behavior of men and women in decision-making in order that both of them benefit equally in family and community development.

Youth

Young people are the most powerful force for long-term social change. CWDCC believes that youth’s participation and engagement are crucial in decision-making in all development processes in the target areas. Youth can play an important influencing role in leadership and management on NRM and Climate Change Adaptation, community resilience, etc.
