



Today 18th June 2026,
we are truly delighted to welcome Ms. Abigail Fryer, Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Cambodia, and her colleagues for conducted the study visit to learn about the activities and achievements of the CWDCC organization in Kampot province over the past period.
On this occasion, CWDCC facilitated the discussion meeting and invited the representatives from the Kampot provincial fisheries administration, the Prek Tnoat community fishery members, the Women Champion Network, and coastal youth ambassador to exchange knowledge and experiences related to sustainable community fisheries development, natural resource conservation and management, the promotion of women’s rights and roles in leadership and decision-making, disaster risk management, climate change, community resilience building, as well as various challenges faced by people in coastal areas.
This study visit also provided an opportunity for the delegation to directly learn about community participation in the protection and conservation of natural resources, strengthening local governance, promoting gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), and enhancing capacities.
Through this meeting and visit, the delegation directly heard about the achievements, positive changes, and important lessons that came from the cooperation between CWDCC, local authorities, communities, and relevant partners, with the aim of improving living standards, sustainable natural resource management, and building resilient and clean communities.
