The Changhon and Trapaing Ropov community fisheries have had harvested 3,254 mangrove seeds for planting in the nursery places. This activity took place from February 16 to March 4, 2025, that supported by the Children and Women Development Center in Cambodian (CWDCC) via fund supported by Fauna & Flora and Blue Action Fund under implementing the project of Strengthening MPAs, Fishery Governance, and Coastal Community Livelihoods in Cambodia .
The primary aim of this activity is to conserve, maintain, protect, and mangrove restoration for a sustainable future. Mangroves are vital natural resources for human life and all marine life; they serve as a strong barrier against wind, soil erosion, and storms. Additionally, mangroves play a crucial role in absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing more oxygen than normal trees, which is essential for the daily life of humans and animals.
