Inter-Provincial Meeting on Community Fishery Networks in Kampot-Kep and Relevant Authorities

On December 3, 2024, the Children and Women Development Center in Cambodia (CWDCC), ActionAid International in Cambodia, Community Fishery Networks and Fisheries Administration Cantonment in Kampot and Kep Provinces together conducted the “Inter-Provincial Meeting on Community Fishery Networks in Kampot-Kep and Relevant Authorities”. There was a total of 65 participants, including 19 women.
The participants came from:

  1. Representatives of European Union in Cambodian (EU)
  2. Duty Governor of Districts: Krong Bokor, Teuk Chhou, Kampong Trach, Damnak Chang Eur, and Krong Kep.
  3. Representative of Communes: Sangkat Prek Tnaot, Boeung Touk, Koun Sat Trapeang Sangke, O Krasar, Prey Thom, Kep, Ang Kol, and Russey Srok Khang Lech.
  4. Directors of Fisheries Administration Cantonment in Kampot and Kep Provinces.
  5. Community Fishery Networks in Kampot and Kep Provinces.
  6. Representatives of 13 Community Fisheries in Kampot and Kep Provinces.
    The meeting achieved a result as below:
  7. The Community Fisheries in Kampot and Kep reported its achievements and raised the challenges in 2024.
  8. The relevant authorities from Kampot and Kep Provinces provided the intervention and responses to the challenges and needs for community fishery to continue enhancing of community development action for 2025.
  9. Strengthened the partnership and good cooperation between community fisheries, NGOs and relevant authorities in Kampot and Kep Provinces.
    This meeting supported by European Union (EU) and ActionAid International in Cambodia through implementing the projects of Strengthening CSOs to take Action on Economic Governance, and Local Right Program.
